Dr. Jo-Anne Meyer

Dr. Jo-Anne Meyer graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1994. She completed a one year residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC and was in a private practice in Harare, Zimbabwe before immigrating to Canada in 2001. She has been practicing with Dr. Gelfand since that time and is now a full partner at Dawson Dental Centre-Newmarket. Dr. Meyer has been a resident of Newmarket since immigrating to Canada and is married with two children.

Continuing education is important to Dr. Meyer so she can provide comprehensive dental care for her patients. Her additional training includes:

  • Oral Conscious Sedation
  • Invisalign Invisible Braces
  • Lumineers
  • Removable orthodontics

Dr. Meyer continues to focus her career and training on making patients feel as comfortable as possible. She understands the fear that some patients may experience and has taken advanced training in oral conscious sedation.
